Camilla Dobson Therapy

Therapist in Central London & Online specialising in Trauma, Burnout, and Identity.

Life is complicated, starting therapy doesn’t need to be.

  • I am a MBACP Registered therapist in Central London based at City Therapy Space, and if you are looking for a space where you can be yourself without judgment, I am here to be on your team. I help people move from a place of simply "coping" to a place of deep understanding and autonomy. Whether you are navigating a major life transition, processing a difficult loss, or trying to make sense of a deep-seated feeling you can't quite name, I offer a warm, honest, and collaborative environment.

I specialise in navigating life’s "in-between" spaces. My work often focuses on the long-term impacts of trauma, identity uncertainty, and the complexities of intimacy and trust. Having lived and worked overseas, where I offered psycological support to expatriates from a diverse range of backgrounds and identities, I bring a global perspective to my practice.

I apply an integrative approach, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic tools and theories to suit your unique personality and the specific challenges you are facing.

My approach is grounded, down-to-earth and compassionate. You don’t need to have everything figured out or even know exactly what to say; what matters most is the willingness to begin. Together, we will unpack the weight of anxiety, shame, or exhaustion at your pace, helping you find your footing and feel more connected to the world around you.

I have particular experience in supporting those who feel stuck in cycles of anxiety, shame, or self-doubt. This often includes:

    • Trauma & Relational Patterns

Understanding how past experiences impact current intimacy and trust.

    • Burnout

Navigating the exhaustion of prolonged stress.

    • Life Transitions

Providing a steady presence during career pivots, bereavement, exploring your sense of identity, or relationship shifts.

Practical Details

  • Location: Located in the City of London within 15 minutes walking distance of Blackfriars or Temple Stations, or less than 5 minutes walking distance from Chancery Lane

  • Flexible Scheduling: I offer early morning sessions to accommodate professional schedules

  • Hybrid Options: Sessions are available in-person for depth and connection, or online for accesibility. I also offer a combination of online and in-person for those with more unpredictable work schedules

  • The First Step: I offer a free 15-minute introductory call to discuss what is bringing you to therapy and to see how we might work together.

My Services

  • I recommend working in-person, particularly when embarking on therapy. In-person therapy offers richer non-verbal communication, fosters deeper connection, and provides a dedicated, distraction-free space. This can enhance the therapeutic alliance, leading to more profound insights and effective support, especially for complex issues.

  • I also offer online sessions that bring professional support directly to you, wherever you feel most at ease. Whether you’re managing a full schedule or simply prefer the comfort of your own home, virtual therapy ensures that distance and logistics don’t stand in the way of your well-being.

  • I offer a 30-minute free consultation so potential clients can assess if my approach and personality feel like a good fit for them. It also allows me to understand their needs and determine if I'm the right therapist to help, ensuring the best start to their therapeutic journey.
